It's common sense. It is EASIER to get people to 'visit' if
you GIVE AWAY something. Give them a reason to visit the page. That's
why I don't write 'ads.' I never have.
The critical distinction is of HIGHER value: SOFTWARE. I use
what I dubbed the 'Freebie Software Method'
- just create little blurbs for 'ads' that say things like:
"Come visit my XYZ Product site, you
can download good software,
FREE, just for visiting, right on my page..."
IT WORKS. It got me where I am. A Newbie can do
that! YOU can do it too!

BRANDING IS VITAL
Not everyone buys anything the First time they visit a web site.
In fact, MOST DO NOT.
So, "Branding" a Link points them to web pages for your product
and services to BRING THEM BACK (by clicking those links!) to your sites
at a later time. It's VITAL - smart marketers NEVER "give away"
without it.
Of course, this assumes they actually USE your Freebie with
those links.
